Sail from Baltimore harbour under sail and discover what wildlife awaits you, discover the silence of travelling under sail, seeing and hearing the dramatic wildlife along our coast, every tour is unique, we sail to where we see the best of what is on offer.
We sail where the wildlife is on any day, so you will get the best chance to see a variety of what the Atlantic has to offer. We do early morning and evening cruises on demand, as this can be the best time to see the wildlife off our coast. What we see depends on the time of year and the weather, some examples are minke, fin, humpback whales, common dolphins, harbour porpoises, seals, turtles, basking sharks.
Be aware that even though there are codes of practice, there is very little policing or control of them. It is purely compassionate and ethical practice that makes a good responsible cetacean watching adventure the best thing in the world for animals and people alike. We have sailboats available, Bavaria 50 Cruiser Inishbeg and Beneteau Oceanis 43 Section – 4 Cabin Inishleigh.
The duration of our sailing trips can vary. We offer trips ranging from a few days to several weeks, depending on the destination and itinerary.
No prior sailing experience is necessary. We cater to all levels of experience, from beginners to experienced sailors. Our guides will provide any necessary training.
It is recommended to bring items such as sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothing, swimwear, and a waterproof jacket. Don’t forget any personal items you may need.
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. However, we also provide light refreshments on board.

Baltimore Diving is a family-run business in Co Cork, Ireland. I have been diving for 30 years and found the owner/skipper to be one of the very best. John Kearney leads the Co Cork Underwater Search and Rescue team and also is cox on the local lifeboat, so be assured you are diving with someone who knows what he is doing. John goes out of his way to make sure you have a great holiday. The diving, wildlife and the countryside are all top quality. We sailed with John and had one of the most memorable experiences. John shared his local knowledge and expertise with us and showed how to operate a sailboat safely. We learnt about wind, weather and tides. The best part was seeing the wildlife in silence, we could hear the whales and dolphins breathing and the noise the wild birds made. It was truly a magical experience that we will never forget.
